Galvalume Steel Strip Advantages and Applications
Galvalume Steel Strips have a high thermal reflection, which is double a s high a s galvanized steel sheet’s. It is often used a s insulation material. Its high corrosion and rust resistance is because of composition of aluminum and its protective function. Aluminum composition on the steel may form the layer of alumina after zinc abraded. Galvalume steel strips are used in a range of industries including: construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, military and defense, transportation and marine.
Galvalume steel strip is covered by Al-Zn alloy, which is composed of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon cured at 600°C, the alloy coating gives the galvanized steel strip better properties, the Corrosion resistance is 2-6 times better than hot-dip galvanized steel.
55% Al-Zn alloy coated steel is cold rolled carbon steel with a metallic coating consisting of aluminum (55%), zinc (43.4%) and silicon (1.6%). The coating properties of 55% Al-Zn alloy coated steel are 2 – 6 times higher than that of galvanized steel. 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel is favored by architects for its striking aesthetics, long-lasting performance, design flexibility and numerous potential end-use applications.
Benefits of Galvalume Steel Strips:
Durability - resists corrosion in most end-use applications.
Harsh Conditions - Excellent performance in most atmospheric conditions.
Sustainability - 100% recyclable for long life.
Flexibility - can be formed into a variety of end-use applications.
Low maintenance costs - easy-to-clean surfaces require little maintenance.
Applications of Galvalume Steel Strip:
Roof and siding applications, metal construction, dashboards and other architectural applications.
