Features of Cold Rolled Steel Sheet
Cold rolled steel is made by pickling, cold rolling and heat treatment of hot rolled steel. Cold-rolled sheet steel offers several advantages, including easy formability and a smooth, clean surface, and can be used in automobiles, appliances, furniture, and many other everyday items.
Cold rolling is based on hot -rolled plate rolls and rolled processing at room temperature at room temperature. Cold -rolled steel plate is a steel plate with a hot -rolled plate rolling at room temperature at room temperature at room temperature.
Because it has not undergone annealing, the hardness of the cold rolled steel plate is high (HRB is greater than 90), and the mechanical processing performance is extremely poor. Cold rolled steel has a tensile strength of 85,000 psi, while hot rolled steel has a tensile strength of 67,000 psi. Cold rolled steel also has a higher yield strength than hot rolled steel at 70,000 psi compared to 45,000 psi for the latter. Only bending processing with a simple direction of less than 90 degrees (vertically in the direction of curling). Cold rolled steel sheet has corrosion resistance properties. A smoother finish is more resistant to corrosion. Since cold rolled steel sheet is prone to rusting, it is standard practice to apply rust preventive oil in the last processing step. Cold rolled steel offers several advantages such as increased strength, improved surface finish, tighter tolerances and more options.
Cold Rolled Steel Plates are widely used in automotive manufacturing, electrical products, locomotives, aviation, precision instruments, canned food. Due to rolling at room temperature, no iron oxide skin is produced, so the surface quality of the cold plate is good, the size is high, and the annealing treatment is better than the hot -rolled steel plate. In the field of home appliance manufacturing, it has gradually replaced it with hot -rolled thin steel plates.
Cold Rolled Steel Sheet is 20% stronger than hot rolled steel, making it more suitable for high stress applications. Better surface finish: Parts and products made from cold-rolled steel often have a smooth, shiny surface that is free of rust and scale.
